Welcome to Letting Go, the tfl.org approved fanlisting for the sixth, and final, season of Dawson's Creek. This fanlisting was originally run by Tami, who let me take it over. This third version of the site features the episode, All Good Things...Must Come To An End.
During the final season, we watched Joey and Dawson sleep together, driving their romantic relationship to its end. Dawson dated an actress, Natasha, as he worked on Todd's film. Joey dated Eddie, the bartender at Hell's Kitchen, where she worked. Jen started working for a support line center, where she met CJ. Jack flirted with dating his gay, but closeted professor, before finding a relationship with David, a friend of CJ's. Pacey started out the season with Audrey, who after their breakup took her turn at a downward spiral. Pacey and Joey then tried to give their failed relationship another chance, but Joey wasn't ready, and broke it off.
Then came the finale, which took us five years into the future. We found Joey as a book editor and dating an author named Christopher, Dawson as a workaholic creator/director/writer of a series called 'The Creek', Pacey owning his own restaurant, The Ice House, while having an affair with a married woman, Jack an English teacher at Capeside High and in love with a closeted Sheriff Doug, and Jen a single mother working in an art gallery. All getting together for Gale's remarriage, they soon realized their chance to be together would be their last.
The second half of the two hour send off was devoted to the dealing with the death of Jen, Joey making her final decision between Pacey and Dawson, and Jack taking on the responsibility of raising Amy, Jen's daughter, with the help of Doug, who finally came out.
